PROCINSA’s scope included the conceptual and basic engineering (Mass Balance, P&IDs, Overall single line diagram, layout, etc), forestry resources study, the environmental impact assessment, collection and waste projects, drafting of the electricity evacuation line along with the rest of necessary documents and studies to obtain the necessary authorizations.

PROCINSA performed the viability study for analyze the viability of a domestic and industrial pellets plant powered by forest biomass, with a total production capacity close of 100000 Tn/year. The industry location would be in the annexed plot of La Pereda thermal power station in order to take maximum advantage of existent synergies between both installations. Also, was analysed the possible location in Reicastro industrial site, where is planned the construction of a 15 MW electrical power plant powered by biomass.
The main technical parameters analysed are, from technical viewpoint, the available surface and the availability of connexion point. From economic viewpoint, are the pellet market value and the availability and price of raw material used.

The property wants to promote the construction and operation of a biomass plant in order to produce electricity from energy crops residues, the use of these residues for energy is sustainable, with positive environmental impact. This also leads to improve the local employment and the economical viability of the project.
This plant is pioneer in the area, which is an added difficulty in the process of administrative procedures. Also, the relative newness of this technology adds value to the work of engineering.
Our role is to go along with the property as engineering services company. To date, there have been undertaken the next works: project feasibility studies, obtaining the Administrative Permission by the competent authority, the Connection Point to the grid, application of supply and discharge of Water Permission, inventory and Forest Management technical Plans, Urban and Environmental Procedures Management and technical assistance in the purchase of equipment.

Client: INICIATIVAS BIOENERGÉTICAS
Location: La Rioja (Spain)
Technical assistance during the design, construction and start up of a biodiesel plant with 25000 tonne of production capacity.
This technical assistance include basic and detailed engineering review chores, previous to construction, contributing with improvements and considering these changes. When the works started, our task was work execution oversight, in representation of the owner, for ensure the agreements. To complement this work, we deal with quality control, environmental management, health & safety supervision.
Our roles cover all technical fields involved in a plant of these features: civil work, structures, pipes, low and medium voltage, instrumentation and control, installation of equipments and start up.
