| * An approved safety helmet is to be worn at all times; and for work at heights, a chinstrap must also be used above 1.5 m. ** Exception agreed on at a meeting between Management and the Prevention Representative dated 30/06/04: “The decision is taken to demand the use of safety goggles in all those operations that present the risk of projected particles (cutting, pruning, etc.) whenever in the area where civil works are taking place (excavation, concrete laying, etc.), even though these works are carried out by subcontractors”. Nonetheless, it is recommendable that workers listed as being Especially Sensitive with respect to eye issues use safety goggles throughout the working day. The use of safety goggles is recommendable for all workers. |
