- Special, specific suits.

200 Explosion.
RISK FACTORS
- Our clients’ own facilities with special characteristics. Work in premises presenting a fire or explosion hazard.
- Handling of combustible materials (solvents, paint, gasoline, gasoil, etc.).
- Short-circuits, overcurrents or conductors in poor conditions.
- Handling of welding equipment, oxyacetylene equipment, aluminothermal welding, etc.
PREVENTIVE MEASURES
Rules for acting
- Maintaining equipment in a good state of repair.
- Keep gas bottles vertical and secured.
- Keep combustible or inflammable materials away from and protected against possible sparks, etc.
- Comply with Clients’ Regulations.
- Smoking is only allowed outdoors or in designated areas.
- Do not smoke, light a flame, generate sparks or use any kind of heat source in prohibited places or in the vicinity of combustible or inflammable materials.
- Inside underground galleries and conduits, use explosion-proof lighting and, when the voltage is higher than the safety voltage, use circuit-separating transformers.
- In places with an explosion hazard, employ an appropriate measuring device (explosion meter) so as not to enter or to evacuate in the case of danger. Use ATEX equipment.
Collective protection
- Fire-fighting equipment: portable fire extinguishers of suitable efficacy in all welding jobs and in all those that involve the generation of sparks.
- Electrical protections.
