Work carried out on overhead electric lines (generally substation input and output lines) presents hazards due to induction phenomena of some lines over others.
When working on an overhead line which has been previously discharged, the actual absence of voltage must be verified as well as checking that earths have been placed on both sides of the work area, as the existence of working lines close to the one that has been discharged may induce hazardous voltages (induced voltages) in the latter with the subsequent risk of electrocution.
