RISK FACTORS
- Manual handling of loads: loading or unloading materials onto/from our own vehicles or those of other firms, both in the store and on site, moving equipment around in our stores.
PREVENTIVE MEASURES
Rules for acting
- Whenever possible, load handling is to be carried out by mechanical means (overhead crane, forklift, etc.).
- To handle loads that are too heavy (equal to or greater than 25 kg), voluminous or difficult to grasp, ask a workmate to help you.
- When handling loads manually, always abide by the following rules:
1. Stand with your feet apart and firmly supported.
2. Bend your knees to lift the load from the ground, keeping your back straight at all times.
3. Do not lift the load above waist height in one single movement.
4. Do not twist your body while transporting the load.
5. Keep the load close to your body.

- Safety footwear with non-slip soles.

- Loading/unloading/circulating in the vicinity of live electricity lines or other live elements.
PREVENTIVE MEASURES
Rules for acting
- Scrupulously respect safety distances or, if applicable, proximity distances.
- Continued supervision by an Authorised Worker and Preventive Resource figure.
- One person giving signals to direct manoeuvres (or several if necessary). The distance between the hazardous element or elements is to be constantly monitored.
- Signposting of the electrical hazard zone.
