PREVENTIVE MEASURES
Rules for acting
- Static electricity:
In all premises or processes where an accumulation of static electricity may accumulate, the necessary preventive measures are to be taken to avoid dangerous discharges and, in particular, the production of sparks in premises with a fire or explosion hazard.
Collective protection
- Fire-fighting equipment: portable fire extinguishers of suitable efficacy in all welding jobs and in all those that involve the generation of sparks.
- Electrical protections.
Personal protection
- Work in premises presenting a fire or explosion hazard.

RISK
310 Exposure to chemical pollutants.
RISK FACTORS
- Chemical products used in our activities when being handled (paint, solvents, anti-rust coatings, sealers, V-2, aluminothermal welding cartridges, aluminium finishes and protections).
- Existing at our clients’ facilities. Products used in their processes (HCl, H2SO4,…)
PREVENTIVE MEASURES
Rules for acting
- Keep any products being used well sealed and in appropriate vessels.
- Keep containers in good condition.
- Employ the indispensable amount of the product.
- Information and training. Together with the Safety Plan for each job, our workers are to be given the technical safety sheets of the products they are going to handle.
- Comply with each Client’s own Safety Regulations (prior information to our workers of the data provided by our clients) in accordance with the products used in their processes.
Personal protection
- Suitable clothing (special for acids, bases, etc.), protective gloves and safety goggles.
- If applicable, protection of the respiratory tract (consult the section on respiratory protection for chemical products in Appendix III of the present document).
