4. Risk Prevention Organisation
4.3.6. Of the Technical Specialists belonging to the Risk Prevention Service and to the Business Units:
General functions:
- To act as risk prevention specialists providing support and consultancy functions to all levels of the ISASTUR Group in the design, implantation and monitoring of Risk Prevention and Health Protection programmes.
Principles that regulate their actions:
- To guarantee suitable health and safety protection for workers, advising and assisting Management, workers, their representatives and specialised representative bodies to this end.
- To oversee the fulfilment of the current Risk Prevention regulations, applicable and established by the ISASTUR Group.
Specific functions:
- To collaborate in the design and application of preventive action plans and programmes.
- To assess the risk factors that may affect the health and safety of workers, supervising the carrying out of mandatory Health and Safety Plans in the workplace.
- To determine priorities in the adopting of suitable preventive measures and to verify their degree of efficacy.
- To participate with other departments within the scope of their possibilities in the study of technical solutions to the problems that arise in risk assessments, health and safety inspections, accident analysis, etc.
- To participate in the drawing up and/or revision of the Safety Manual, Work Procedures and Instructions with the collaboration of the different departments.
- To keep the accidents/incidents register, drawing up the accident rate statistics for the ISASTUR Group and making the obtained results known.
- To organise the archiving and dissemination, if necessary, of any documentation related to Occupational Risk Prevention, both that generated as a result of their own activity and that originating from the different departments in the ISASTUR Group.
- To collaborate with external Risk Prevention Services in the carrying out of preventive activities that have not been assumed by the in-house Risk Prevention Service.
- To foment the participation of workers and their representatives in preventive activities, both training and informing them.
- To foster compliance with the preventive actions included in the present Manual.
- To promote and monitor compliance with the actions related to monitoring the health of workers with respect to work-derived hazards, in accordance with the stipulations of the ISASTUR Group.
- To act in cases of emergency, coordinating first-aid actions and managing the initial interventions to this end.
