120 Becoming trapped due to machines overturning.

RISK FACTORS

  •  Moving vehicles and machinery present on site, either hired or belonging to AMPEL (platforms, cranes, etc.) or to other firms.

PREVENTIVE MEASURES

Rules for acting

  • Maintain the pertinent safety distances, respect signposting and demarcations if these should exist.
  • Do not work within the radius of action of working machinery(trucks unloading, cranes, etc.).
  • Coordination of works among firms.
  • Signpost our operations

Procedures to apply

  • ITS52.
  • Mechanical load handling vehicles: PC0526.

230 Being run over or hit by vehicles.

RISK FACTORS

  • Moving vehicles and machinery present on site, either hired or belonging to AMPEL (4WD trucks, platforms, trucks, cranes, loading and unloading of materials, etc.) or to other firms (loading and unloading of materials).
  • Poor visibility.

PREVENTIVE MEASURES

Rules for acting

  • Maintain the pertinent safety distances, respect signposting and demarcations if these should exist.
  • Do not work within the radius of action of vehicles.
  • Coordination of works among firms.
  • One single person is to direct the manoeuvre.
  • Signpost our operations.
  • Special attention is to be paid to the circulation of vehicles and machinery.
  • Transit preferably within the areas delimited for that purpose, without invading those established for the circulation of vehicles. If these should not exist, always transit on the left.
  • Complying with internal site regulations shall be mandatory.
  • AMPEL drivers are to have the competent professional qualification and the corresponding driving licence.
  • Respect the client’s internal road regulations (giving way, etc.).

Personal protection

  • Reflective clothing if necessary.

  • Mechanical load handling vehicles: PC0526.
