RISK FACTORS
- A lack of order and cleanliness on site.
- Possible obstacles in transit areas, irregular and/or slippery terrain (mud, plaques of ice, wet fields).
- When knocking against objects on moving around inside the back of the truck when loading or unloading.
PREVENTIVE MEASURES
Rules for acting
- Keep the work area in due conditions of order and cleanliness.
- Avoid depositing objects in transit areas.
- Do not pile up materials in places of transit.
- At the end of the working day, spend some time gathering up surplus materials and equipment in the work area. If this is not possible, signpost the area.
- Spend part of the working day organizing and cleaning the store.
- As far as possible, avoid slippery floors (oils, grease).
- Remove waste daily, collecting this in suitable bins. Periodic removal of waste.
- Overhead electrical wiring is preferable.
- Sufficient lighting.
- Clear demarcation of work areas using cones or similar.
- Pay the utmost attention and maximize precautions when transiting on slippery ground (mud, ice, snow, wet fields).
Personal protection
- Non-slip safety footwear with metallic inner soles.
